The New Agent is a single-action, semi-automatic that was introduced in 2008, as a modern edition of the 20th century classic. Design of the gun features a combination of the original M1911, with a single-action trigger, a single-stag magazine, complete with trench sights and some other new features.

The Colt New Agent features only 3” barrel, with the total length of 6.7” and weight of 24 oz. The pistol contains more safety features, such as grip safety, frame-mounted manual safety, and firing pin safety.

The New Agent is available in a .45 ACP cartridge and the popular 9 mm. This pistol is available although with the double-action only (DAO) models, which are an ideal option especially for a concealed carry use.

The single-action New Agent is actually available with the Crimson Trace laser grips gun variant.
